Makalim Koishibaev (1926-1986) is a composer, honored art worker of KazSSR. He graduated from Almaty conservatory, class of composition of associate professor V.V. Velikanov. Koishibaev started his carrier as a singer at the age of 13. He played in orchestra of Kazakh folk instruments.
