Friday, Dec. 09, 2011Today on December 9 at 6.00 pm the National theater of opera and ballet n.a. K. Baiseitova hosts the awarding ceremony of the winners of the II Republican contest “Tauelsizdik tolgauy”.

The contest was announced at the beginning of the year and was held in the following categories:

• Best opera creation;
• Best drama creation;
• Best song on the modern theme;
• Best craeyion for choire;
• Best creation of big form for orchestra.

Winners of the contest will be awarded with money prizes as well. The best works of opera and drama style will have the opportunity to be produced in the leading theaters of the republic.

Outstanding culture and art figures of Kazakhstan will participate in the awarding ceremony. This evening will be continued by the concert representing different styles of music and dramatic art performed by Talgat Kuzembaev, Bolat Zhomartov, Erlan Bilyal, Marzhan Arapbaeva, as well as the following creative teams: symphonic orchestra, choir of NTOB n.a. K. Baiseitova, kazkah national academic drama theater n.a. M. Auezov, children’s choir “Eligai” KazNUI.

The main aims of the contest are refill of the repertoire of opera, drama theaters and concert organizations of the republic with new works of domestic authors, reflecting the achievements of the independent Kazakhstan; support composers and play-writers; create terms for popularization of the works of domestic authors and their promotion in mass media; expansion of creative possibilities and increase of mastery of domestic performers.
